What Licensing Controls
PanoView Editor uses a selective entitlement model. The licensing system protects production-level and document-mutating operations, ensuring that commercial capabilities are active only when an active trial or permanent license is verified.
- •Edit This View: Extracts perspective views as non-destructive PSB Smart Objects for retouching.
- •Apply View Edits: Re-projects perspective layer changes back into the equirectangular panorama.
- •New Doc: Exports the current framed angle as a standalone high-resolution perspective document.
- •Interactive 360 Preview: Smooth spherical panning, pitch adjustment, and field-of-view inspection.
- •Document Compatibility Check: Real-time validation of 2:1 aspect ratio, RGB mode, and bit depth.
- •Framing & Aspect Guides: Previewing composition crops (16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 9:16) directly in the viewport.
Licensing does not lock your entire Photoshop environment. Your original documents, layers, and Photoshop workspaces remain completely intact and under your full control at all times.
Interactive 360 viewing and perspective navigation remain accessible so you can always open and inspect panoramas inside Photoshop without an active license.
The Access Lifecycle
The access lifecycle moves from initial setup to verified production editing through clear, transparent milestones.

Understanding Access States
PanoView Editor reports its current operational state inside the plugin panel. Each state has a distinct meaning and a direct action path.
Full production access is granted during your 7-day evaluation window. All protected features operate without restrictions.
Your license code has been verified. You hold permanent access to all commercial editing features without subscription renewals.
The plugin needs to confirm your entitlement with the licensing service. This does not mean your license is invalid.
Your 7-day trial has reached its scheduled end. Protected production features pause until a lifetime code is entered.
The previously recognized entitlement is no longer accepted as active. Protected features are disabled until valid access is restored.
The installation has neither initiated a trial nor activated a license code. Interactive viewing remains accessible.
Trial vs Licensed Access
PanoView Editor treats the trial as a complete, unrestricted evaluation experience. We do not degrade resolution, inject watermarks, or restrict layer operations during trial mode.
| Capability | 7-Day Trial | Purchased / Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Feature Access | Full feature access, no restrictions | Full feature access, no restrictions |
| Output Resolution | Native full-resolution workflow | Native full-resolution workflow |
| Watermarks / Artifacts | None | None |
| Bit Depth Preservation | RGB 8-bit and 16-bit supported | RGB 8-bit and 16-bit supported |
| Validity Duration | 7 consecutive calendar days | Perpetual lifetime access |
| Subscription Model | No payment info required | One-time purchase, no recurring fees |
When Access Needs Attention
From time to time, PanoView Editor may require an access check. The plugin provides three clear user-facing buttons to handle entitlement states directly:
Sends a fresh entitlement check to the licensing server. Use this when you reconnect after an offline session or when Check Required appears.
Opens the code entry prompt to submit your purchased license code. This instantly converts your installation to Lifetime access.
Available for first-time installations to immediately initialize 7 days of full unrestricted evaluation without a payment method.
