Protected Feature Is Unavailable

If clicking Edit This View, Apply View Edits, or New Doc is disabled or produces an access dialog, follow this structured diagnostic path:

1
Check Current Access State

Look at the status line in PanoView Editor. Verify whether the state indicates Trial, Lifetime, Check Required, Expired, Revoked, or No Entitlement.

2
Perform Refresh Access

If connected to the internet, click Refresh Access. This requests an updated entitlement verification from the licensing service.

3
Verify Outbound Connectivity

If Refresh Access fails to connect, confirm that your workstation has working internet access and is not restricted by firewall or proxy configurations.

4
Use Enter Code if Needed

If your trial has expired or your installation is in No Entitlement, choose Enter Code and paste your purchased license key.

03

Resolving Check Required

Advisory Verification Notice

Check Required is an advisory verification status, not an error. It indicates that the locally cached entitlement record needs to be confirmed with the licensing service.

This typically occurs after prolonged offline operation or following a significant network transition. Your license has not been revoked or cancelled.

04

Trial Expired

When your 7-day evaluation window ends, production operations (Edit This View, Apply View Edits, and New Doc) pause until a valid license code is activated.

How to Proceed
  • •Your existing Photoshop artwork, embedded Smart Objects, and saved panoramas remain untouched and fully accessible.
  • •To continue editing, obtain a license and select Enter Code in the panel.
05

Revoked or No Entitlement

If the panel displays either of these states, here is what they indicate from a technical standpoint:

Revoked Status

The entitlement previously recorded on this machine is no longer recognized as active by the licensing service. Protected features are disabled until an active license code is submitted or the entitlement standing is verified.

No Entitlement

PanoView Editor currently has no record of an active trial or commercial license on this installation. If you have not yet evaluated the product, select Start 7-Day Trial. If you already have a code, select Enter Code.

06

Activation & Refresh Problems

If an entitlement check or code entry does not finish, execute these practical, safe checks:

Verify exact code characters: Avoid extra characters, spaces, or line breaks when copying and pasting your license code.
Test general connectivity: Ensure web pages load cleanly in your desktop browser before clicking Refresh Access.
Reopen the plugin panel: Close the PanoView Editor panel in Photoshop, then reopen it from Window > Plugins > PanoView Editor.
Restart Photoshop: If system network adapters or sleeping states were recently altered, restarting Photoshop establishes a fresh session.

Do not attempt to delete local licensing cache files or modify internal system storage. PanoView Editor handles entitlement caching automatically.
