Apply View Edits
Learn how Apply View Edits isolates your retouching modifications, computes an inverse spherical projection, and commits clean results to your source panorama on a managed projection layer.
Initiating Apply View Edits
When you finish retouching the perspective document, finalize your edits with three straightforward steps:
Confirm Retouching Placement
Verify all clone patches, brush strokes, and generative fills sit on 360 Edit or layers above it, with Background/Reference untouched.
Click Apply View Edits
Switch to the PanoView Editor panel. While the edit session is active, the primary button displays Apply View Edits. Click to execute.
Automated Return to Panorama
PanoView Editor saves and closes the perspective document, reactivates the master panorama, and inserts the generated projection layer in Photoshop.

Differential Reprojection Pipeline
PanoView Editor executes three automated stages during the apply operation:
1. Differential Analysis
The extension compares the flattened composite against the reference layer. Only pixels with actual alterations are marked for transfer, leaving untouched areas completely empty.
2. Inverse Projection
The rectilinear patch is transformed through an inverse spherical projection matching your exact camera Heading, Pitch, and FOV, converting flat edits into equirectangular curvature.
3. Layer Delivery
The warped pixels are deposited onto a new, transparent Photoshop layer directly aligned with the master panorama content, preserving original base pixels underneath.
The Managed Projection Layer
When your source panorama becomes active, inspect the Photoshop Layers panel to verify the resulting structure:
The managed layer 360 Projection - View N contains only the warped, modified pixels. The companion layer 360 Edit Source - View N is preserved as a hidden Smart Object, allowing you to reopen and refine the perspective session later if needed.

Inspecting 360° Quality
Once the projection is applied, both the main panel and secondary viewers refresh automatically:
Check Seam Blending in Main Viewport
Orbit around the perimeter of the retouched area. Confirm that architectural lines, lighting transitions, and edge textures integrate cleanly with the surrounding panorama.
Review in 360 Preview Window
If the secondary 360 Preview panel is open on a second monitor, it synchronizes immediately to display the updated scene in high fidelity.
Proceed to Next View
The primary button resets to Edit This View. You can orbit to any other angle (such as the zenith or nadir) and begin another editing session.
